In my professional life, I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from York University and my Masters of Education in Counselling Psychology from the University of Toronto. I am a Registered Psychotherapist in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I have worked as a counsellor within university settings and in private practice for over 10 years and complement my psychotherapy practice with responsibilities as an Adjunct Professor at McMaster University. I help people achieve the lives they want to live by working through their anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, family conflicts, self-esteem, and major life transitions.
In my personal life, I was raised in Toronto and currently live in Hamilton with my family. I am passionate about women’s mental health which is expressed in a fascination with our roles, relationships, experiences around fertility, external expectations vs internal needs, and our transitions through life stages: home to school, school to work, into motherhood, through menopause, and our relationships every step of the way.
I have practiced yoga and meditation for over 15 years and, prior to having children, taught yoga within the community and for hospital inpatients with mental health diagnoses.
The common theme in all of my work is the desire to help clients reach, stretch, and grow into the people they are meant to be. I look forward to working with you.
